How to download an Instagram video
- Open the public post. Find the Instagram video or feed post you want.
- Copy the link. Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) on the post and select Copy link.
- Paste it in. Open Video Downloader Plus and paste the complete URL into the link field.
- Pick a quality. Select Download and choose one of the available options.
What kinds of Instagram content are supported
This downloader works with the video content of public Instagram feed posts, including single-video posts and IGTV-style long-form videos shared from a public account. For short-form vertical Reels specifically — including turning a saved clip back into a Reels-ready export — see the dedicated Instagram Reels downloader guide.
What isn't supported
- Posts, Reels or Stories from private accounts.
- Close Friends Stories and other login-gated content.
- Photo-only carousel slides (this tool processes video content).
- Content that has been deleted or made private since being shared.
If a link fails, confirm it opens in a private/incognito browser tab without signing in — see the link troubleshooting guide.
