How to download a video from X
- Open the public post. Find the X post with the video or GIF you want.
- Copy the link. Tap the Share icon on the post, then Copy link.
- Paste it in. Open Video Downloader Plus and paste the complete URL into the link field.
- Pick a quality. Select Download and choose one of the available options.
What kinds of X content are supported
Both current link formats — x.com/... and the older twitter.com/... — are accepted for public posts containing a video or GIF. GIFs shared on X are technically short looping videos, so they can be saved the same way as a regular video post.
What isn't supported
- Posts from protected (private) X accounts.
- Posts that require a login to view, such as some age-restricted media.
- Posts that have been deleted since being shared.
