X / Twitter Video Downloader

Save supported public videos and GIFs from X (formerly Twitter) posts in the quality the source provides.

How to download a video from X

  1. Open the public post. Find the X post with the video or GIF you want.
  2. Copy the link. Tap the Share icon on the post, then Copy link.
  3. Paste it in. Open Video Downloader Plus and paste the complete URL into the link field.
  4. Pick a quality. Select Download and choose one of the available options.

What kinds of X content are supported

Both current link formats — x.com/... and the older twitter.com/... — are accepted for public posts containing a video or GIF. GIFs shared on X are technically short looping videos, so they can be saved the same way as a regular video post.

What isn't supported

  • Posts from protected (private) X accounts.
  • Posts that require a login to view, such as some age-restricted media.
  • Posts that have been deleted since being shared.

If a link fails, confirm it opens in a private/incognito browser tab without signing in — see the link troubleshooting guide.

Yes, if the post is public — X serves GIFs as short looping videos.

Why did my X link fail?

Usually a protected account, a deleted post, or a link that wasn't copied in full. See Troubleshooting & Help.
